The Worship Doula_
Hi, I’m Kitana! A Certified Full-Spectrum Doula, proud mama of 2 Rainbow Babies, & Boricua! Wepaaa! As a little girl in Puerto Rico, I developed reverence for the maternal spirit seeing the strong women of my family never yield. It fueled a special interest within me of Reproductive Health & Justice. Fast-forward to adulthood: my own walks through pregnancy, birth, motherhood, as well as medical complexities opened my eyes to how deeply transformative these seasons of life can be. My approach to birth work is rooted in fierce advocacy, evidence-based care, and whole family wellness. I believe birth to be not only a physical experience but emotional and spiritual too; a sacred transition that deserves to be supported with compassion.
After years of working in childcare, I decided to take all the things I have learned in my life and pour them into my Doula practice. I balance evidence-based research with gentle mindful practices such as breath work, music therapy, natural comfort measures, herbs/oils, and emotional support to nurture the intuition of the mind, body, and soul. Whether I’m helping prepare for a birth, holding space in the moment, or supporting postpartum recovery; my mission is to remind you of the strength you already possess as I walk beside you. Together we create a safe space to rediscover what has been born within! When I am not fixated on all things reproductive health or family: I love to sing, read a cozy novel, bake, and spend time outside with my animals.
